We slice and dehydrate our 100% wildcrafted maitake. When dehydrated, maitake becomes very brittle and, additionally, settles during shipment. Your package will arrive with recognizable slices, half slices, and flakes/powder at the bottom (similar to the bottom of a box of cereal). ALL of the contents are highly usable and tasty!
